Hope Harbour Hotel

The manager is rude. No customer service. The hotel was abandoned. I could not stay there because there was nobody to check me in!

Not clean at all stained carpet, no bath/ sink plug, no tea towel staff could not understand english and no acknowledgement

The location is great, and the facility is OK. The beds are very comfortable, and the room is reasonably clean. The first room we offered had a very bad smell but when we asked for a change. The lady asked us to add $20 then provided us a new one. The parking is also free and very handy.

Everything seems OK until we left. We arrived the airport then found out one jacket was left in the cupboard. We phoned the hotel and left the message. Noone called us back. When we arrived home, I called the hotel again and left the message again. I also sent an email to them asking if they could post this jacket to us and we would pay for the postage. One month passed and we heard nothing. This is not good customer service. We understand the hotel staff are busy but at least give us a call back to let us know if they have located the jacket.

The room space was huge, and the seafood buffet was outstanding

Got a little confused with the arrival process, but once it was explained and we experienced it, check in went well.

The Cafe downstairs was reasonable enough - unclean, but good value for money, nice outlook to the Marina and staff were friendly. Also liked the automated touch screen ordering. Had a nice drink by the water in the bar downstairs, happy hour pleasant and cheap prices, table tennis table that the kids liked. Gardens were also reasonably maintained and tidy. Good to be able to park underneath (although surface very damaged and not secured). Liked the automatic pin-style locking system - great not to have to keep track of keys/swipe cards.

I don't even know where to start to explain how unclean this hotel was.....the first room we were allocated was positively filthy....cockroach poo in the draws, hair in the drains and sheets, curry exploded in the microwave, sticky benches, shaving whiskers on the bathroom bench...smelled musty and awful. Last thing you want after a long day of travel with 2 small children in tow. Waited 20-mins to check in. Went back to reception to explain (another long wait due to the poor fella at reception being on his own). He kindly allocated us another room.....which was SLIGHTLY better....but still absolutely filthy. I ended up going to the shops the following morning to buy my own cleaning supplies and do it myself as were booked for 7-nights. Fortunately I had a family member close by who leant me their vacumn cleaner. A small studio room - i FILLED the Dyson cartridge (have attached a photo) - was horrific. I unfortunately also left 2 pairs of shoes in the first room - noticed the next morning but unfortunately someone had already checked in there. Staff were unwilling to help me (took it on board as was my own fault for leaving them in there) and their only suggestion was to knock myself (ummm...privacy...safety being on my own with 2 small children). Tried to knock but never caught them home. Waited until the day they checked out - staff on that day were helpful enough - but no shoes. Lady at reception suggested they were likely thrown out by the cleaner. Seems like they don't have a lost property system in place. Lift was gross and smelled like urine first 2 days we were there (cleaned after that). Nearly fell right through a chair in the bar on the deck (sun-damaged), basement carpark pavement extremely damaged and security gate not working. Building very old and run-down. Only one central lift operating - long walk (with stairs) to get to and from the lift to get to the basement/lobby. Fire alarm went off late one night - woke us all up.

The property is out of the way from anything They do provide underground parking you really need a car to do get around.it is basically quiet.

The property is very dated. The front desk is not attended most of the day finding help with anything may be a challenge. Breakfasts disappointing coffee questionable. No amenities in walking distance. Rooms basic but could use a good cleaning. Don’t expect much and you won’t be disappointed.

Location, services and food was unreal. Really enjoyed the stay.

Room was dusty, dirt on walls and had 7 cockroaches crawling..I had to really clean the room during the stay so I wasn't to blame for the uncleanliness. Lift access was great including basement parking secured, however still had stairs to access which affected our prams, special needs children and luggage. Everything else was great though I would still stay here again for sure.

I didn't have the breakfast , I only had dinner which was barramundi & chips very nice.Price wise pretty good value.

Run down really needs a revamp. My kids wouldn't swim in the pool coz it looked like crack heads lived there. The staff were friendly though well the one lady that checked us in never saw anyone else otherwise

Location was great, area was nice to walk around. Fairly good parking, a little run down.

Very squashed in, they used a storage room for a bedroom which didnt have a window, fan or carpet. It was a bare concrete floor. Zero air movement on hot nights, so we bought a cheap fan and left it there.

Room was not clean, fridge completely iced up and not cold. Tv did not work. Called about the tv and the rude receptionist hung up on my husband. Went down and spoke to a guy who gave us batteries to try and didn't work. Husband went down again and the lady said she would sort it out. Never sorted it out. Communication was absolutely terrible. Beds were comfortable. Pillows terrible. Staff need to work on their communication and cleanliness.

Location is beautiful. had simple breakfast toast and coffee. coffee was great. Need better breakfast items. Price is good for what you get. handy location for me as daughter lives nearby.

Rooms are very run down. paint not on doors. could see light around main door like it was recently replaced and not painted on inside. hole in bathroom door. door not painted . bathroom very dated. no shelf in shower for shampoo or soap. quite big cockroachs and little ones in bathroom. blind broken on balcony door. couldnt raise it. tv remote had tape all over it. could hear top neighours stomping up and down their room half the night as floors are not carpeted. could hear room next door rattling things against the wall while trying to sleep. no fan in room. i dont like aircon going all the time. no microwave. large fridge very noisy. Breakfast everyones hands go on bread when help oneself. yoghurt avail is not nice. no juice either.

The times shown for availability of things was incorrect, a lot of it was closed. There was barely any staff to attend to people's needs and people didnt respect the place. Location is terrible if you don't have your own car.

Disappointing. Pick up your game.

Location was great and staff were friendly. Mushrrom arancini balls were delicious.

We would have liked bottled water in the room, felt very dehydrated at night and first thing in the morning. The wait time for our food (close to an hour) was disappointing and when we did receive it, which was supposed to be an avocado smash on sour dough toast with feta, it was served on a croissant with no feta. I did not like the combination on a croissant.

The location was perfect.

The noise from next door to our room. Someone had the (we assume) TV on all night and we kept waking up to it. It never stopped.The glasses in the kitchenette were dirty and the TV was difficult to use.

The gym equipment is in a very poor state and half of it doesn't work at all. The gym was always locked and we were not allowed to have the code to get in. We had to contact the reception manager but the reception which was not staffed until 2pm, so we were told to ask the staff at the cafe to call the reception manager. This was a real pain.

the location is quiet and near to most of the theme parks. But the road leading to the hotel have to drive through at least 6 roundabout.

During booking I saw the room was equip with portable BBQ pit hence I specially booked and request for confirmation which I did not receive. When arrived the first night, was given a run down room with curtain unable to close and not BBQ pit. Request for clarification the next day and was given another room but still no BBQ pit. When I check the room there are light bulb faulty which the staff claim will replace the next day but didn't happen throughout my 1 week stay.As they do not provide cleaning service, you have to ensure you go to the reception area early to exchange for clean towel, else you will have to wait till late afternoon for the second batch. WIFI signal is bad for the room I stayed. I have to use my own data plan most of the time as I could not connect to their wifi.

good but the tables had not becleaned from the night before ,, we had to clean them ourselves
